Troy and I were next door neighbors our whole life as kids. We grew up in a rural area of Blount county. Troy came from a family poorer than most. Relying on Tobacco crops and farming for their needs. I used to spend many days in the fields helping them work the crops just so we could have some time to play ball or hunt squirrels and rabbits with our sling shots. Troy did a tour in the Navy after graduating and when he returned home he worked on cars and painted them as well. He later went to work for Rockford Mfg before colon cancer finally took his life. Troy was a close and dear friend of mine for many years and I have a lot of fond memories of our times together. RIP my friend.

Chuck was my bother-in-law. He was missed at a family gathering. He was always early and when it was an hour passed the time he was to be there and he hadn't been answering his phone my other brother-in-law went to check on him and found him sitting in the floor of his bedroom leaning against the bed. He was fully dressed and must have collapsed there. An autopsy was not preformed. He was diabetic and had previously had a stroke. I really miss this guy. He was a very good bother-in-law.
